As we saw in last week's episode, the Spanish articles are used to emphasize certain words in a sentence. The definite article and the neutral article "lo" also have that function.
1.- With exclamatory and suspension intonation, the neutral article lo is used in statements of emphatic intent:
¡Lo grande que es esta casa!
¡Lo listas que son estas niñas!
The neutral article can also be used in front of adverbs with the same emphatic intent:
¡Lo bien que canta!
What a great singing skills he has!
