Prepositions

I. Intro

What’s a preposition? Put simply, prepositions are little words used to show the relationship between two words. They usually give us information about location, direction, age, price, time, or possession.

Location: I was at home.

Direction: I went to the store.

Time/Price: I bought a soda for a dollar and went home after.

Spanish prepositions actually function in a very similar way to English prepositions.

We’re going to learn some of the basic, indispensable prepositions. To start, let’s divide them into three main categories - simple prepositions (one word), compound prepositions (multiple words), and special expressions.
